NBA Playoff Fever – Conference Semifinals

Hello!! Last week, I posted some random thoughts for both the NBA and Stanley Cup Playoffs, almost a couple of weekends ago, with analysis on every series from both. It was time-consuming and took a lot of effort, but it was also fun to do. Let’s not waste any time; welcome to part 3!

Oklahoma City vs. Denver

OKC is a machine! With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander averaging 30 points a game in the series, and in game 5, he hits the clutch three with OKC only up 106-103 with under a minute left in the 4th; he’s showing everyone why he’s the favorite to win the MVP. Nikola Jokic is just mind-blowing with 44 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assists on his sheet, but it was enough. What a game!! Going back to Denver, can the Thunder roll and close the series out there, or can the Nuggets hold serve and force game 7? Stay tuned!

Minnesota vs. Golden State

After being called out after scoring a single point in the first half of Game 1, Ant-Man, Anthony Edwards, has really stepped up with his last two games alone, netting him 36 points in Game 3 and 30 in Game 4 to put the Warriors on the brink of elimination! Now, this feels like last call at the bar for the Dubs as not only did they struggle against Houston, but now they’re down 3-1 and Steph Curry still out with a bad hamstring and will not be in Game 5.

Boston vs. New York

I can’t say too much about the Knicks going up 3-1 against the Celtics. The reason is simple: the Jayson Tatum injury has thrown a very dark cloud over an entertaining series. Best wishes go out to him, his teammates, and most of all…. His family. The man was having the best game of his career, only to end up withering in agony! I can’t find any more words for this one. Let’s move on.

Cleveland vs. Indiana

With the Cavaliers eliminated now, the Pacers have about all the time they need to rest up for the Eastern Conference Finals while awaiting either the New York Knicks, led by Jaylen Brunson, who’s a straight baller and who in Game 4 crushed it with 39 points! If Boston comes back to win vs. New York, they’ll be sorely depleted by the devastating injury to Jayson Tatum. For Cleveland, they should be able to stay together and build their roster for 2026. They were amazing this season.

Enjoy the rest of the Conference Semis!
