Cuts from the closing moment of Show 39: Hell in a Cell lowering, the stare-down, the fading war chants. Punk’s bloodied eyes. Ospreay screaming at Black. Cody clutching his ribs. Priest declaring “Dark Reign.”
Voiceover: “The fire didn’t end in Hell… it only lit the fuse.”
1. Speedball Mike Bailey vs Kevin Knight vs El Phantasmo vs Mustafa Ali
#1 Contender – Cruiserweight Title
A show-opener built on pure velocity. From the opening bell, the four sprint and soar — no rest, no hesitation. Kevin Knight hits multiple Sky High Dropkicks to keep control early, but Bailey targets his knee with low kicks and a Dragon Screw into the ropes. Ali stuns with a 450 Splash off the apron to ELP, while ELP responds with his signature Thunderkiss ’86 Moonsault onto the crowd.
The story begins to shift as Bailey and ELP isolate one another — both cocky, both ruthless. Knight rallies, nearly scores a win after a Tornado DDT on Ali, but Bailey intercepts with a lightning-fast Flamingo Driver.
Ali tries to cheat using ropes, but is caught. Bailey hits the Ultima Weapon from the top onto Ali, but ELP throws Bailey out and steals the pin.
Winner: El Phantasmo – New #1 Contender to Cruiserweight Title
2. Jack Morris vs Sammy Guevara
Jack Morris enters to heavy boos, now dubbed “The Scottish Viper.” Sammy Guevara is the hometown darling here, getting huge pops in Chicago. This match starts slow but turns nasty, with both men showing disdain for one another. Sammy flips over a clothesline and hits a rope-assisted Spanish Fly, stunning Morris early.
Morris rolls out and grabs Sammy mid-dive into a snap powerbomb on the apron. From there, the match turns technical. Morris hits a Ushigoroshi, then a Tiger Suplex ‘85 for a close 2. Sammy fights back with a Codebreaker, a springboard cutter, and a near-fall with his GTH.
Final sequence sees Sammy go for a 630 Splash, but Morris catches him mid-air with a Busaiku Knee, then hits the Deadlift Burning Hammer for the hard-fought win.
Winner: Jack Morris
Post-match: Jack grabs a mic and simply says: “I didn’t come to join the empire. I came to build one.”

4. Bobby Lashley, Carmelo Hayes, & Cedric Alexander (c) vs Wardlow & Paragon
Trios Titles – Street Fight
No rules. No mercy. This is a gritty brawl from the start. Lashley and Wardlow tear through the crowd, bashing each other into chairs and guardrails. Cedric uses a trash can and dives off a speaker stack with a Somersault Senton. Carmelo Hayes hits a springboard leg drop onto KOR through a table.
Paragon turns the tide with pure numbers — Roderick Strong hits multiple backbreakers, and KOR uses kendo sticks to wear down Cedric.
Lashley spears Bennett through a barricade, and Carmelo hits Nothing But Net on Strong off a ladder. But Wardlow returns and powerbombs Cedric through two stacked tables.
Finish: Carmelo tries a cutter, but Wardlow catches him mid-air and plants him with the Wardlow Driver.
Let’s move on to the next set of major bouts, including title changes, long-term story progression, and escalating violence.

6. Hiromu Takahashi (c) vs Ricochet
Cruiserweight Title Match
The crowd is on fire before the bell even rings. These two don’t hesitate — the pace is absurd. Ricochet opens with lightning-quick counters and a double-jump Moonsault, forcing Hiromu to retreat early.
Hiromu catches Ricochet mid-dive and Death Valley Drivers him into the barricade. He grins as he drags Ricochet back in and delivers a Time Bomb I, but Ricochet kicks out at 2.8.
Ricochet answers back with a springboard corkscrew DDT, then Recoil, followed by a 630 Senton — Hiromu BARELY kicks out. Crowd is split: “THIS IS AWESOME!”
Hiromu bites Ricochet’s hand to escape a suplex, throws him with a Snap German, and hits the Rebound Lariat. He tries Time Bomb II, but Ricochet counters into a Victory Roll — 2.9!
The final sequence is breathtaking. Ricochet springboards — Hiromu catches him mid-air with a mid-air Cutter, immediately lifts him and hits Time Bomb II.
Winner: Hiromu Takahashi (STILL Cruiserweight Champion)
Post-match: ELP appears on the ramp, smirking, and makes the “belt around waist” gesture. The match is set.
7. Damian Priest & Karrion Kross (c) vs Randy Orton & AJ Styles
Tag Team Titles Match
This is not a wrestling match — it’s a grudge war. AJ and Orton storm the ring before introductions, fists flying. Priest and Kross backpedal but regroup quickly, and the match officially begins with AJ and Kross.
AJ uses his speed, hitting the Phenomenal Blitz and a Pele Kick, but Kross counters the springboard elbow with a Doomsday Saito. He tags in Priest who stomps AJ relentlessly.
Orton gets the tag and unleashes hell: snap powerslam, hanging DDT, and an RKO tease — but Kross breaks it up. Brawling spills outside. Kross sends AJ flying over the announce desk, while Orton hits a surprise RKO on Priest — but Kross pulls the ref!
Final sequence: AJ fights through the pain, hits a Springboard 450 on Priest, but Kross nails him with the ring bell behind the ref’s back. Priest hits South of Heaven, then Kross Jacket on a stunned AJ.
Winner: Damian Priest & Karrion Kross (STILL Tag Team Champions)
Post-match: Balor joins them at the top of the ramp. Dark Reign is complete.
8. Finn Balor (c) vs Hangman Page
Intercontinental Title – Last Man Standing
This match is ugly, bitter, and violent. Balor is methodical — every stomp is personal. Hangman is fiery and emotional, throwing wild punches early and hitting a fallaway slam onto steel steps.
Balor responds by double-stomping Page through a chair. Page fights back with a Deadeye through a table, but can’t get the ten count.
The final third is pure punishment. Balor crushes Page’s ribs with 1916 off the apron through a table, but Page gets up at 9. Balor brings out handcuffs — tries to cuff Page, but Hangman fires up and Buckshot Lariats Balor out of midair!
Balor is down. Ref gets to 9 — Balor stands using the ropes… only for Page to wrap a bull rope around his neck and hit another Buckshot with the bell!
Winner: Hangman Page – NEW Intercontinental Champion
9. Drew McIntyre vs Kevin Owens
Loser Leaves IGPW
Emotional. Brutal. Stiff.
They don’t even lock up — KO slaps Drew, Drew punches him in the jaw, and the war is on. Chair shots. Suplexes on the ramp. Drew powerbombs KO onto the edge of the ring, then hits a Claymore — but KO kicks out at 1!
KO roars back with a Cannonball, a Pop-Up Powerbomb, and a top rope frog splash — 2.9!
They both look at each other and nod — one last time.
KO tries a Stunner, but Drew headbutts him, hits Future Shock, then waits…
CLAYMORE.
Ref counts the pin slowly. 1… 2… 3.
Winner: Drew McIntyre – Kevin Owens must leave IGPW
Post-match: KO sits up, in tears. Crowd chants “THANK YOU KEVIN!” Drew helps him up. They hug. KO exits slowly as the crowd gives a standing ovation.
10. CM Punk (c) vs Brody King vs Will Ospreay vs Cody Rhodes vs Malakai Black vs Zack Sabre Jr.
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP – HELL IN A CELL
The cell lowers. The lights dim. All six competitors stand in separate corners. The crowd is at a fever pitch, chanting:
“THIS IS WAR!”
“CM PUNK!”
“OSPREAY!”
“WELCOME TO HELL!”
Opening Chaos:
The bell rings and all hell breaks loose. Punk lunges at Brody, Cody swings at Malakai, and ZSJ immediately tries to take Ospreay down into a submission. It’s pure carnage from the start. Cody and Punk trade shots against the cage, while Ospreay hits a handspring kick to ZSJ before diving off the top rope onto a brawling Brody and Punk with a Sky Twister Press.
Malakai slides under the ring and pulls out a spiked bat, aiming straight for Cody’s ribs. He catches him with a shot and whispers, “Your story ends here.”
ZSJ grounds Ospreay with a leg grapevine, but Punk stomps them both to break the hold. Then Punk pulls a steel chair wrapped in barbed wire from under the ring — smashing it across Brody’s spine, but Brody no-sells it, turns, and clotheslines Punk inside out.
Middle Sequence – Blood, Weapons & Spots:
Cody climbs the cell interior and dives onto Brody with a Cody Cutter through a table. Punk gets busted open after being launched face-first into the cage mesh by ZSJ. Malakai throws salt in Punk’s eyes and then hits a roundhouse kick into a steel chair.
Ospreay hits Oscutter on Malakai, then flips onto the top rope and springboards off the cell wall with a Hidden Blade to the outside that takes down everyone. The crowd loses their minds.
ZSJ tries to end things methodically, snapping Will’s fingers, then Cody’s ankle. But Brody King throws ZSJ into the cage wall, then Gonzo Bombs him onto the steel steps. Zack is out. EMTs try to check, but the door remains locked. There is no escape.
Final Sequence – Last Men Standing:
Punk, bleeding, dares Ospreay to fight him. “You want the crown? Take it!” They go to war with forearms and knee strikes. Punk tries a Pepsi Plunge, but Ospreay reverses into a poisonrana! He goes for Storm Breaker — Cody slides in and Cross Rhodes on both men at once!
Malakai pulls Cody out of the ring and hits Black Mass against the cage. He sets up for a double foot stomp through a table — but Brody intercepts him mid-air with a lariat so hard it turns Malakai inside out.
Only Punk and Brody remain.
Punk flips off Brody, spits in his face, and hits Welcome to Chicago, Motherfer (GTS on the floor). He covers…
