Iron Grip Pro Wrestling – Kingdoms Fall (Show 11)

Show 11: Kingdoms Fall

Location: United Center, Chicago, IL
Theme Song: “Kingdom” by Devin Townsend

Pyro explodes across the stage. The crowd is red-hot. Commentary hypes up the World Title match, the no-holds-barred grudges, and Will Ospreay’s Money in the Bank future. A spotlight beams on the ominous briefcase above the stage.

1. Aussie Open vs. War Raiders

Match Type: Tag Team Grudge Match
Stakes: Momentum and pride between two dominant tag teams.

This opens with an explosive pace. Aussie Open enters to a loud ovation, flanked briefly by Will Ospreay, who wishes them luck. The War Raiders stomp down to heavy drums and grim faces. The match starts like a brawl — no technical tie-ups, just fists and chaos.

Kyle Fletcher eats a double team early, including the Viking Experience to the outside barricade. Davis powers back with stiff lariats. They tease a count-out spot, but Fletcher dives back in at 9. Back and forth sees a crazy sequence where Hanson hits a moonsault onto Davis for a near fall.

Finish: After a blind tag, Davis hoists Rowe for the Coriolis, slamming him in the center as Fletcher springboards off the ropes with a twisting cutter. 1-2-3.

Winner: Aussie Open

2. The New Day vs. Santos Escobar & Andrade

Match Type: Classic Tag Match

A palate cleanser but story-rich. Andrade and Escobar play the arrogant, “we should be main eventers” card. Kofi and Woods bring energy, mockery, and the crowd is behind them. Escobar is vicious here — his aggressive strikes contrast Kofi’s aerials.

The final stretch sees near-falls galore. Andrade attempts a hammerlock DDT on Woods, but Kofi springboards in with Trouble in Paradise out of nowhere.

Finish: Kofi pins Andrade after the Midnight Hour.

Winner: The New Day

Post-match, Escobar shoves Andrade, teasing tension.

3. Will Ospreay Promo Segment

Ospreay hits the ring with Aussie Open (fresh off their win). He’s dressed like royalty, MITB briefcase in hand. He calls himself the “inevitable end to the era of elite.” He teases cashing in tonight — maybe after Kenny, maybe during.

Finn Balor’s music hits. The lights dim. Out walks Finn, accompanied by the menacing Bronson Reed.

Balor mocks Ospreay: “You won the briefcase. Cute. But don’t ever think you’re touching Bullet Club Gold’s crown.” Bronson grunts. GM Tim King appears on the titantron, making an official match for tonight:

Will Ospreay vs. Finn Balor – One-on-One, Right Now.

4. Will Ospreay vs. Finn Balor (w/ Bronson Reed)

A technical clinic. Balor starts slow, grounding Ospreay and targeting the knee. Ospreay sells the leg all match, limiting his aerial offense. Reed trips Ospreay at ringside, drawing big heat.

Ospreay roars back with a series of strikes, a springboard forearm, and a twisting moonsault to the outside — landing half on Balor, half on Reed. Inside, they trade finishers: Ospreay kicks out of 1916, Balor survives an OsCutter.

Finish: Ospreay dodges Coup de Grace, hits a Hidden Blade, and aerial OsCutter for the win.

Winner: Will Ospreay

He celebrates, nods at the briefcase, and limps to the back.

5. AJ Styles IC Title Open Challenge

AJ Styles (c) vs. Ricochet

Ricochet’s music hits — the place explodes. He daps up Chaos in the crowd. The match starts fast and doesn’t let up. Chain wrestling. Counters. AJ goes for the Calf Crusher early, but Ricochet flips out and lands a poison rana.

They tell the story of two mirror images — AJ, the vet, Ricochet, the new-age version. The fans are split. AJ kicks out of a Shooting Star. Ricochet survives the Ushigoroshi.

Finish: AJ tries a Phenomenal Forearm, but Ricochet counters with a midair Recoil! Huge near fall. He climbs for the 630 — misses! AJ pounces with a springboard forearm for the win.

Winner: AJ Styles retains

They shake hands after. Mutual respect.

6. Young Bucks (c) vs. DIY vs. Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly – Tag Title Triple Threat

Tag title chaos. Every team gets shine. DIY gets a mega pop, especially in Chicago. Bucks do classic heel antics — eye pokes, superkicks galore. Roddy and Kyle are brutal, working like they’re still in Undisputed Era mode.

Tower of doom spot takes out the field. Johnny eats a Panama Sunrise from Matt Jackson, but Kyle locks in a guillotine. Nick breaks it with a 450 splash.

Finish: Roddy hits End of Heartache on Ciampa, but Matt superkicks Roddy. Bucks hit the Meltzer Driver on Gargano for the pin.

Winner: The Young Bucks retain

7. Karrion Kross, Brody King, & Buddy Matthews (w/ Malakai Black) vs. Chad Gable & Creed Brothers

Violence meets wrestling skill. Gable leads the team valiantly. Creed Brothers showcase strength, tossing Buddy and Kross around.

Brody King dominates with stiff lariats. Julius Creed gets a huge German suplex on Kross. Gable hits Chaos Theory on Matthews, nearly getting a 3.

Finish: Malakai distracts the ref. Brody hits Dante’s Inferno on Brutus. Kross locks in the Kross Jacket on Gable — he passes out.

Winner: Kross, Brody King, & Buddy Matthews

Post-match: Malakai whispers “Balance is broken.” Lights flicker.

8. CM Punk vs. Hangman Page – No Holds Barred

The most heated match of the night. Page storms out like a man possessed. Punk walks out slow, dragging a chain. No sportsmanship. Straight to fists.

Weapons galore: chairs, barbed wire board, tables. Hangman hits a Buckshot through a table. Punk bleeds after a chain punch. He low blows Hangman, gets booed hard.

Finish: Hangman wraps the chain around Punk’s neck and hits Deadeye onto thumbtacks. 1-2-3.

Winner: Hangman Page

Post-match: Hangman spits on Punk. Walks out with

Backstage Chaos Promo

Okada, Mysterio, Speedball, Takeshita, and Ricochet (now bandaged) cut a united promo. They say this is a war for wrestling’s soul. Gold will come.

Lights flicker.

Malakai Black appears in the ring behind them. He spits mist in Takeshita’s face. As the others turn — Brody, Buddy, and Kross attack. Okada gets thrown into crates. Ricochet is curb-stomped through a chair.

Malakai whispers: “Chaos dies in the dark.”

9. Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens – No Holds Barred

A war of philosophies. Cody: destiny. Owens: bitterness.

It’s personal. Chairs, ladders, trash cans. Cody bleeds. Owens hits a Package Piledriver on the apron. Cody kicks out of a stunner at 2.9.

Finish: Cody catches KO with Cross Rhodes on steel steps. Owens staggers up — Cody hits a second Cross Rhodes onto thumbtacks. Pinfall.

Winner: Cody Rhodes

He celebrates with a crimson mask.

Main Event: Kenny Omega (c) vs. Swerve Strickland – World Heavyweight Championship

Stakes: The richest prize in the industry. The visionary vs. the revolutionary.

The Atmosphere:
The crowd is at a fever pitch. Kenny Omega enters alone, the World Title glittering over his shoulder, a cold and wary expression on his face. Swerve walks through smoke and fire, his entrance grand and full of intensity — the crown on his head represents more than ego: it’s his destiny.

The Match:
The first 15 minutes are an athletic masterclass. Omega opens with chain wrestling and speed, trying to ground Swerve. Swerve responds with vicious strikes — his backhand chops leave welts on Kenny’s chest. They counter each other’s signature moves repeatedly, showing they’ve studied.

Swerve nails a rolling flatliner into a House Call for a near-fall. Omega hits a brutal Dragon Suplex onto the apron. Swerve hits the Swerve Stomp off the top rope to the outside through a table — the crowd explodes.

Back in the ring, Swerve goes for a JML Driver — Kenny counters into a poison rana! He hits a V-Trigger, goes for the One-Winged Angel — Swerve flips out and hits a modified JML Driver. 1… 2… Kenny kicks out!

Then chaos erupts.

Interference:

Suddenly, Finn Balor appears from the crowd and slides into the ring. The ref is distracted by a fallen turnbuckle that came loose earlier. Balor low-blows Swerve and rolls out. Bronson Reed appears on the apron and hits a Tsunami Splash from the top onto Swerve while the ref is still distracted.

The crowd boos viciously.

Kenny, groggy but aware, drags himself to his feet and pulls Swerve up…

BAM! One Winged Angel.
Cover. 1… 2… 3.

Winner: Kenny Omega retains the World Heavyweight Championship

Post-Match Fallout:

As Kenny sits against the ropes, barely conscious, Balor and Reed climb into the ring, clapping slowly. They smirk, staring down at the broken Swerve.

Will Ospreay’s music hits.

The place erupts. Ospreay sprints down the ramp, briefcase in hand. He dives in and starts throwing hands with Balor and Reed. He levels Finn with a Hidden Blade. Reed goes for a Samoan Drop — Ospreay escapes and springboards into an OsCutter!

He turns… Kenny Omega is gone. Slid out of the ring, clutching his title, eyes wide. Ospreay glares at him from the ropes.

Tease: He lifts the briefcase, points at Omega — but shakes his head. “Not like this,” he mouths.

Final Shot:
Ospreay helps Swerve up. The camera pans out as Swerve leans on him, bloodied but defiant. Omega watches from the stage. Balor and Reed regroup behind him.

Kingdoms have fallen. A new war has begun.

Fade to black.
