LSU Football Season unfortunately once again opens up week 1 with a loss to a Power 5 Team for a 5th consecutive year as they fall 27-20 in an upset to the now #23 USC Trojans of The Big 10. This matchup was the 3rd total meeting between these 2 powerhouses.
Despite the loss, Garrett Nussmeier did have a good night with 304 passing yards, 29-38 passes, and a touchdown.
Kyren Lacy led in receiving with 94 yards and a touchdown on 7 receptions.
Miller Moss of the Trojans finished the night with 378 passing yards, 27-36 passes, and a touchdown. While Woody Marks led in rushing with 68 yards & 2 touchdowns on 16 carries.
The 2024 Season is far from over for LSU. With the new 12 Team CFB Playoff LSU can still control their destiny. The Tigers will host Nicholls in their home opener on Saturday September 7th at 6:30 P.M. on ESPN+.
